Kajabi works for a few courses. GKR Karate needed a digital dojo for 1,000+ global locations.

The Custom Membership Dashboard is key for every Launchpad website theme, including the GKR Karate project. Creating and implementing it for a martial arts platform was crucial.

Utilizing the complex permissions-based system, we've built an online karate club for multiple membership levels. We've tried to keep the Dashboard simple and concise while showing different content for particular member groups. And there were quite a few of them! For instance, those who are on a free trial or those who have already finished it; the two-level paid online members and offline club members who are also happy to train karate & fitness from home; and all the monthly live seminar participants.

Overall, the Dashboard dramatically improved the user experience and website functionality. It has taken the brand to the next level, engaged the customers, and kept them coming back for online karate classes. We continue to evolve it adding new layers and polishing the customer journeys.

Pricing Plans

Setting up the pricing plans can be tough when working on a big brand like GKR Karate. We aimed to create a three-tier membership plan with both monthly and annual billing options in four different currencies. The Pricing Page needed to work with the WT system and be part of the free sign-up.

We carefully planned and mapped out the customer journey. Now, we have Pricing Plans that are flexible, easy to use, and cater to different users. Users can pick their currency and see various calls to action (CTAs) based on their permissions. The page also changes its content depending on whether it's viewed by the public or a member.

Plus, there are simple buttons that let users switch between plans or choose between monthly and yearly billing quickly. In the background, tags, automations, and permission-based systems ensure everything runs smoothly.

Finally, we added the Pricing Page to the website navigation and included it in the free sign-up process.

Advanced Library

To be honest, building a fully searchable and filterable video library for hundreds of karate lessons was quite a challenge. Plus, we had to make it fully branded and user-friendly for both members and the GKR Team for adding new content. That's why we chose the Marketplace, our powerful product software, to make this idea a reality.

For GKR Karate, we have created a sophisticated Marketplace product theme that stands out from the eLearning offerings on Kajabi. It serves as a global hub for recorded classes with the advanced sidebar filtering system that simultaneously sorts out the videos by karate belts, levels, technique, time and other filters.

Course

Our goal was to design the challenge product to be clear, concise and coherent while smoothly guiding the participants through each day to the final step - joining the paid karate club membership.

Keeping this in mind, we utilized the Launchpad Meteor, a custom product theme, that offers ease of use, extensive customization, and growth potential. Working closely with the GKR Team, our designers, developers, and marketers have crafted a truly unique product featuring an accordion-style sidebar with a sleek Dashboard design and a stacked header when scrolling, a custom video block, and various tabs underneath to simplify the communication and visual appeal of the content, as well as make upgrading eye-catching.

Inspired by the result, we've enhanced other karate club products with the Meteor Theme to maintain consistency and provide an exceptional perception.

Onboarding

GKR Karate's goal was to consistently generate leads and show that karate classes online are for everyone. The free sign-up process, aka an Acquisition Funnel, was our top choice to achieve this. This proven tactic includes a few simple steps for the user meanwhile involving complex coordinated work with Launchpad & Kajabi backend systems.

In a nutshell, we attract website visitors to a freebie, for GKR, we've used a 5-day Self-Defense Challenge. The sign-up process is smooth. It takes them from a pop-up where we collect their name and email to a free checkout page to create an account turning them into free members. On top of that, the Challenge participants get a 7-day free trial to an Advanced Library of Karate Lessons (the Marketplace). This approach not only gives the free members immediate access to the GKR Karate online club but also lets them try out the benefits of the paid membership at no cost during the trial period, without needing credit card details.

Mobile

Assisted by Launchpad, we successfully overcame these challenges, resulting in an optimized GKR website that smoothly adjusts to various devices, including mobiles, tablets, laptops, desktops, and large screens. Improved loading speed, appropriately sized elements, and enhanced SEO performance guarantee an engaging user experience on both mobile and desktop interfaces.

Kajabi Website design

An essential element for a website's success and improving conversion rates is a well-crafted homepage.
